Summary
At the end of the scoping visit we would hope to have achieved the following objectives:
1) Increased knowledge of the issues facing Cambodia’s coastal and marine environment to facilitate project design and the production of a full Darwin application.
2) A better understanding of the needs of local stakeholders (government, communities, civil society), in terms of required capacity building, knowledge gaps, needs for future research, the dependence of local communities and the requirements for developing government polices for coastal and marine biodiversity conservation.
3) Improved collaboration and a platform for future dialogue with relevant authorities.
