Twelve trainees to undertake MSc Conservation course at DICE Three trainees each from Tanzania, Eritrea, Zaire and Madagascar will undertake the MSc Conservation Biology course at DICE. Some students will study at the Natural History Museum. At the end of the year's course they will return to their country and undertake field programmes under the co-supervision of their home institution and DICE. The training programmes will thus provide formal training in biodiversity management combined with effective evaluation in the target countries. The implementation phase will be particularly focused on taxonomic groups which have received relatively little conservation attention in the countries concerned.
9 DI Fellows completed MSc in Conservation Biology at DICE; the follow-up year within host countries was partially achieved. All 9 DI Fellows are now working for conservation organisations in their home countries.
